Guac-Attack

29 Apr

I’m not going to pretend to be a chef of any sorts. I am really a rookie in the kitchen – wannabe rookie even. But when it comes to guacamole, I’m pro. I love me some guac!

Here is my recipe for kick-ass Guacamole!

2 ripe avocados

1 medium tomato

1/2 a large onion (yellow onion works best)

Cilantro

Juice from two slices of lime

Salt and Pepper to taste

Start by cutting the avocado from its skin and place into a medium sized bowl.

Slice the tomato into tiny pieces and add into the bowl.

Slice the onion (minus the tears) into tiny pieces and toss in as well.

Add the cilantro. I recommend using fresh cilantro and cutting it into fine pieces, but you can also use cilantro in a tube. I used the tube version this particular time. 3 tbsp. of squeezable cilantro = 3 tbsp. finely ground cilantro.

Squeeze the juice from a few lime slices. Start with 2-3 slices but you can always add more! Add salt and pepper to taste.

Mash it all up, and Voila! You have yourself some homemade, preservative-free guacamole. You can eat this on burgers, chips, veggies…what ever your heart desires! Enjoy! xo
