Turkey Meatballs

22 May

Beef<Turkey. It's that simple. And now you can go light and lean with turkey meatballs! They are super duper cinchy to make (I didn't even mess them up), and can be used in a variety of meals (ie., pasta, salad, wraps, you name it). I love to eat mine with spaghetti squash and tomato sauce.

Here is my homemade recipe for Turkey Meatballs:

1 package ground turkey (usually 1 lbs.)

1/2 cup bread crumbs

1 tsp. each salt and pepper

1 tbsp. oregano

2 eggs, beaten

2 small mushrooms sliced into small pieces

1/4 cup onion, diced

3 cloves garlic

1. Mix all the ingredients in a bowl.

2. Spray a medium-sized frying pan with non-stick cooking spray and turn it on a medium-low temperature (I set to 4). Roll the meatballs into small balls and place about 6 into the heated frying pan. Cover the pan with a lid or use another pan.

3. Roll the meatballs over every 3-4 minutes. Keep doing this until they are fully cooked all the way through and brown on all sides.

4. Repeat steps 2-4 until all the meatballs are cooked!
