Your Newest Breakfast Buddy

Introducing…the Protein Pancake! One of my favourite snack lunch dinner breakfast options! Why you ask? It has very little sugar that only comes from 1/2 banana and almond milk, and the rest is basically protein! You can recreate just about any baked goods with protein powder and egg whites 🙂

Such a cinch to make too when you haven’t had your coffee yet and are wandering around like a zombie.

Protein Pancake

Ingredients:

1/2 banana

1/2 tbsp. unsweetened almond milk (I use vanilla)

1 tsp. cinnamon

1 scoop protein powder (I use Vega Protein in vanilla)

1/4 cup egg whites

Directions:

Mash the banana with the almond milk first. Then mix in all other ingredients and stir until completely mixed. Spray a pan with non-stick cooking spray or use a little bit of coconut oil, and place over medium heat. Pour the pancake batter into the frying pan and cook until the edges start to bubble (approx. 1-2 mins). Flip and cook on the other side for the same amount of time. Enjoy with a side of fruit!

This recipe is adapted from the Tone It Up protein pancake.
