TV Shows You Need to be Watching Pronto

1 Oct

In honour of fall and many of our beloved shows returning to a tube near you, I thought I would post about my trusty go-to’s and a few new ones I am looking forward to. I don’t usually sit and watch random TV. I have my list of shows, and schedule when I watch them. Some I watch regularly and others just kind of when I feel like it.

Here is my take on shows that you might like, and should probably be watching…pronto:

JUST PLAIN OL’ GOOD TV

Suits – Harvey Spector. Enough said.

The Good Wife – Just a really good all-around show. Good acting, good plot. About a cheating politician and his stand-by-her-man wife turned lawyer.

Madam SecretaryTea Leoni killed it in the inaugural season, playing a Condoleezza Rice/Hillary Clinton-esque Secretary of State. And her husband is the definition of “dream husband”.

IF YOU LIKE CRIME DRAMAS..

Law & Order: SVU – A good time waster. This show never gets old (clearly, as it’s on season 17…). And if you need more reason to watch – Taylor Swift named her cat after the main character Olivia Benson. So take it from her..

Blue Bloods  Another cop show this time about a whole family of them, featuring Tom Selleck’s mustache and a Wahlberg brother.

FOR THE LADIES

The Client List Actually cancelled (I WAS DEVASTATED), but if you can download it still go for it. Super cute show with Jennifer Love Hewitt as a scandalous massage therapist (on second though, maybe for the guys too).

Nashville About being a star in a place called heaven Nashville. Some great original songs!

ScandalWhether you watch this show for Olivia’s closet of fabulous jackets, the drama at the white house, or Olivia’s revolving door of men in her life…you know how addicting it is. And don’t forget an Olivia Pope sized glass of red.

Chicago FireYour typical drama, featuring unrealistic plot lines and hot firefighters. In other words, great TV.

WANT ROMANCE?

The Affair The title is all you need to know.

FUNNY SITCOMS

Modern Family If you haven’t watched Modern Family yet, you’ve been living under a rock.

NEW SHOWS TO KEEP AN EYE OUT FOR

QuanticoA drama following rookie FBI agents through their first year.

Blood & Oil The rich vs. not in a show about the largest oil discovery in America. I am thinking this could be a good alternative now that Revenge has wrapped (I mean, the promo pic even LOOKS like Revenge..)

Code BlackTired of Grey’s Anatomy and all those other hospital dramas? Or want to give one more a shot…

So now you are up to speed! Don’t complain you have nothing to watch…
